When do we set up support?

That’s completely up to you! Majority of the time parents like to book at least 3-4 months before their EDD, but some parents schedule a phone call when baby is here once the lack of sleep sets in. It’s recommended to reach out sooner than later if you’re set on wanting the support— it mostly depends on calendar availability!

what time of the day/night does services take place?

For nighttime care, the sweet spot is from 9pm-7am (10 hours). If time allows, a longer shift can take place if desired. For daytime, a minimum of 4 hour shifts takes place anytime from 8am-2pm. On average, 4-6 hour shifts are wanted the most during the day! This allows enough time for a nap and shower for mom, as well as completing small household tidying tasks so you can wake up to a refreshed space.

Which package should I book?

Packaged hours come in 100, 250, & 400 hours. If you already know you want 3+ months worth of support, it’s recommended you book the 400 hour package. If you’re not positive you’d like more than 10 nights of help, it’s recommended to book the 100 hour package. If you find you want more time than that, you can extend your package if availability allows! There are no packages for daytime care.

What types of duties does light housekeeping include?

During a daytime shift, you can find baby laundry cleaned & folded, bottles/pump parts washed & sanitized, countertops wiped, cleaned dishes put away, etc. Sometimes the ease of the mental load of knowing these things are completed can make the world of a difference! During overnight care, you can expect bottles/pump parts washed & sanitized and a tidied kitchen when you wake up!

Can I still nurse if you’re taking care of the baby overnight?

Absolutely! Baby gets brought to you in your warm bed if that’s how you want feedings to be handled! Some moms like to pump throughout the night and provide pumped milk for us to take care of feedings. Burping, diapering, & rocking back to sleep all happens as you drift back to sleep yourself. If baby is formula fed or a combination of both, we handle the feedings so you can get the much needed sleep that you deserve. All ways of feeding are supported here!
